E-mail resmi Presiden Amerika Serikat, president@whitehouse.gov dibuat pertama kali pada 1993. Selama delapan tahun kepemimpinannya, Bill Clinton hanya menulis dua buah e-mail. Pertama, sebuah tes e-mail dan kedua untuk astronot John Glenn yang sedang mengorbit.
